The Table of Truth - Introduction

'The Table of Truth' is a novel that follows the incredible journey of Marisela, a young prostitute in Tijuana who is raising her four children and trying to make ends meet day by day. She meets a man named Jake, the first person to ever ask what her thoughts and opinions are, and they learn about each other and themselves at a table they dub "the table of truth." Here, they agree to tell no lies, and what they walk away with is a new view on life. She vows to escape from her life of drugs, alcoholism, and prostitution and instead of living life day by day, she struggles to make her future better both for herself, and her family.

The following blogs are various sections of this book. It will begin with chapter 2, part 1, where we first hear the story from her point of view. After going through all of part 1, I will then post all of chapter 1. Then I will return to chapter 2, beginning with part 2. (Trust me, it will make sense once you see it.)
